Long Set Beach

Island Khmer: also romanized as Kaôh Rōng or Kos Rong), is the second largest island of Cambodia. Located in Koh Kong Province about 25 kilometers off the Sihanoukville’s coast in the Gulf of Thailand, the island has an area of approximately 78 km2 and 43 km of beaches.

Past the Koh Tuch Beach headland (near Treehouse Bungalows) is Long Set Beach, where you can walk at least another hour along the sand and encounter little more than hermit crabs. A clutch of small bungalow resorts is moving in but it's still very peaceful. Round the headland at the east end of Long Set Beach and you'll find hidden Vietnamese Beach, and beyond that, Nature Beach and Coconut Beach, which unfortunately draw crowds of island-hopping boats from Sihanoukville.

Getting Long to Set Beach

There are 3 boat companies offering boat transfers between Sihanoukville and Koh Rong Island: Koh Rong Dive Center, Buva Sea Cambodia and Island Speed Ferry Cambodia offers the fastest journey to Koh Rong, with Catamaran Fast Ferry that take just 45 minutes to complete the 30km journey to Koh Rong. Tickets cost 22$ for a round-trip ticket and have an open return date.
